Richard Stevens, Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity (January, 2010)

“My listening space is rather large but the MX Satellite’s did a great job of filling my room with nicely balanced and detailed sound. Dialogue from the center speaker was crisp and intelligible. The sound had a nice height which seemed to float smoothly over each speaker.”

“ … listening to the audio mix [G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra] through the MX satellite’s was utterly fun.”

“This movie [G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra] gives the surround speakers a lot of love which the MX’s handled wonderfully.”

“The MM-6 subwoofer was a pleasant surprise, mid-bass was tight, punchy and surprisingly powerful. For such a diminutive sub it makes its presence felt.”

“The next time someone asks me what my recommendation would be for a compact speaker system the MX 5.1 speaker system will be high on the list.”

Buzz McClain, Forth Worth Star-Telegram (January, 2010)

"These powerful boxes of goodness are palm-sized, except for the slightly larger subwoofer that fill out the 360-degree performance with tremendous tremors. The matte black boxes won’t compete with your decor, and the magnetic shielding prevents it from competing with your other components, thus reducing interference."

Stereo & Video (August, 2009)

Localization of sound sources during film viewing is accurate. Dialogs are pure and clear and do not interfere with other sounds. Special effects look realistic. Low frequencies diligently shake surrounding space.

The system has proved its purpose to be universal acoustic both for music and for modern multichannel soundtracks.

Home Theater Magazine, Mark Fleischmann (June, 2009)

" ... the Mirage delivered in a manner that was vivid, spacious, and non-fatiguing ..."

"You’ll get a bigger sound from the satellites than you’d ever suspect when you lay eyes on them for the first time."

" ... this is a strong specimen in the sat/sub genre, and it will prosper especially well in problematic rooms where speaker-placement options are limited."

"Expect big things of the Mirage MX."

CNET, Steve Guttenberg (February, 2009)

“The Mirage MX not only impressed us with its solid audio performance but its innovative engineering as well. You've never heard a 5.1 system this small sound so good.”

“The five Mirage MX satellites together produced a remarkably coherent, room-filling sound. The sound coming from the front and rear satellites was unusually seamless. In fact, with the lights turned down, we lost track of the location of the speakers all together.”

“… we were amazed by the MM-6 subwoofer. Small subwoofers too often sound muddy and bloated, but the tiny Mirage [MM-6] was clean and clear.”

“Summing up, the Mirage MX 5.1 Home Theater System offers top-notch performance from the smallest satellite speakers and sub we've ever tested.”

2009 CES Innovations Award (November, 2008)

“The MX is all about minimizing your speakers, not your sound,” said Martin Tustin-Fuchs, Mirage product line manager. “It’s truly a milestone product for Mirage—and now, as a CES Innovations honoree, the entire consumer electronics industry.”

"For a miniaturized speaker system, the micro Mirages sounded suprisingly musical and dynamic ... producing a seamless bubble of believable acoustic space. Its tonal quality was natural and attractively unstrained..."
