The Low-Down on Low-Profile Sound

Slightly over 8 inches tall, the OS³-Sat employs a 1-inch pure titanium hybrid tweeter and a 4.5-inch polypropylene titanium deposit hybrid woofer with an aluminum phase plug and our patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround technology, which creates greater output and fidelity. 

Our Omnipolar® approach to sound, however, is what makes this home audio speaker, as well as other Mirage® products truly unique. The OS³-Sat has a patented Omniguide module, involving two deflectors. While one deflector rests on top of the speaker’s tweeter, the tweeter itself is housed in a deflector, suspended over the midrange or woofer. These combined elements distribute sound in a perfect 360º soundstage that evenly permeates the listening environment. 

As with all speakers that feature the Omniguide, the OS³-Sat should be inverted with the grille facing downward when it’s mounted above 6 feet. This approach guarantees the same tonal balance and dispersion characteristics, regardless of how your speakers are mounted.
